Another project that is about to be completed. WWII Italians for Bolt Actions.
I will post pictures when I finish to put the grass on the bases.
Meanwhile, time for reflexion... and wondering what will be my next project.
I have:
- Afrika Korps army being shipped
- Hungarian army (received)
- German Berlin Force (received)
- US Marines (parts being shipped, received or to be purchased)
- Volkgrenadiers
- Normandy force (bits here and there)
- Wishes: French Early war army
- German Stalingrad (possible)
- Ebay stuff
So what is the game plan?
Afrika Korps:
Very interested in this army and the mix of uniforms in different colors
Hungarian army:
Not sure why I have ordered this army, but it feels like a change from the usual suspects.
Berlin Force:
This army will require focus, because it will includes Volksturm and many different colors. I need to hold it into a cohesive lot while it has to be disparate as well, with lots of customisation, each unit telling a story. So not exactly a casual project but one that will require peace of mind and stamina.
Looks like a fun project, not particularly difficult. I already like it but will reserve it as a kind of candy treat to relax from more complicated armies
Volkgrenadiers:
Here I have a end of war army look in mind, like the 3 last months in East Prussia. This project requires depth and introspection to really bring out the dusk of the Wehrmacht as a fighting force that I am aiming for.
Normandy Force:
Straightforward project, using lots of spares that I have, with various cohesive units put together: Luftwaffe Field Division, Shirkers, SS squad. It looks fun and summery. The great bit being variety while squads all for their own group of similar painting.
French Early war:
I really want to do this project and plans to do a lot of infantry. But I will not start it unless Plastic French are released. For some reason, I prefer to make my own figures and poses for this project.
German Stalingrad:
I have 18 figures left of germans in great coats. They'd really be great for a Stalingrad project. I'd need a bit more additional troops though, support weapons and vehicules so it will be on hold
Ebay:
A number of very nice figures that I am interested to paint but not necessarily to collect for an army. I really think that I can obtain very nice results out these but in the end, they will have to find a good home so someone can enjoy them better.
So at the moment, the choices are numerous but I think I am more inclined to do Ebay stuff and the Normandy force.
Let's start doing this!
